Accessory Apartment Applications and Legalization
BSE ssists homeowners, architects, and builders with accessory apartment applications, legalization, and permit documentation for existing or proposed residential apartment spaces. We help prepare floor plans, elevations, site information, sanitary design, Department of Health Services Expediting, code review support, and the required permit drawings needed for town review, Certificates of Occupancy, and Certificates of Compliance.
Building Permits Legalization & CO Support
BSE assists architects, and builders with residential building permit applications, legalization of existing improvements, and obtaining Certificates of Compliance or Certificates of Occupancy. We help prepare the required drawings, engineering documentation, site information, and permit support needed to address open permits, prior improvements, accessory apartments, finished spaces, additions, and other residential work.

BSE provides existing conditions documentation services as a subconsultant to architects, builders, and design professionals. We can assist with field scanning of interiors, exteriors, and existing site layouts to generate reliable base drawings for renovation, addition, legalization, and permit projects.
Services may include existing floor plans, exterior elevations, building footprint documentation, site layout plans, visible utility and drainage features, driveway and walkway layouts, accessory structures, grading observations, and other existing improvements.
